SUSCAT – Sustainable Cities’ Attitude
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Sustainable Cities’ Attitude (SUSCAT) was an 18-month Erasmus+ adult education mobility project focused on strengthening the skills of Mine Vaganti NGO staff in environmental education, sustainable urban development and non-formal education (NFE). The project aimed to improve staff capacity to design and implement urban environmental citizenship pathways for local and regional communities. Through training courses and job-shadowing activities, participants developed knowledge related to environmental management, sustainable cities and NFE methodologies. SUSCAT also supported organisational capacity-building by encouraging the exchange of good practices and strengthening cooperation with European organisations active in adult education and environmental sustainability.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
- Improve the skills and competences of MVNGO staff in Non-Formal Education (NFE) methodologies in order to develop and implement urban environmental citizenship pathways for local and regional audiences living in urban areas.
- Improve staff members’ knowledge of environmental issues from a managerial perspective, enabling them to contribute to sustainable urban development through a better understanding of urban growth.
- Strengthen the organisation’s capacity through the exchange of good practices and the development of new project proposals in the field of adult education.
TARGET GROUPS
- Mine Vaganti NGO staff involved in the mobility activities, particularly educators and trainers.
- Local and regional audiences living in urban areas, intended as beneficiaries of future civic and environmental education pathways developed through the competences acquired during the project.
PROJECT RESULTS
- Improved participants’ skills in developing and implementing civic education pathways involving urban audiences at local and regional level.
- Improved participants’ competences in environmental management, including the analysis of urban growth and environmental challenges from managerial and planning perspectives, contributing to sustainable development and more resilient cities.
- Improved staff competences in Non-Formal Education methodologies for the development of civic education pathways targeting people living in urban areas.
