GREW project
The project GREW pursues the specific Erasmus+ Small Collaborative Partnership Sport priority related to combat violence, racism, discrimination and intolerance in sport. Our project aims to respond to the challenge of social exclusion of ethnic minorities in Europe, with particular attention to addressing the issue of prevention of racism in sport, especially among young people.

PROJECT TOPICs:

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
– Increase mutual understanding among different ethnical communities
– Contrast racism and discrimination through education
– Promote ETS methodologies as a tool for long learning outcomes
APPROACH / METHODOLOGY
In order to achieve the project’s objectives, partners agreed on using “Education through Sport” (ETS) methodology. That for the following reason: In ETS, sports elements is considered an educational vehicles to improve social skills, soft skills and learning capacities of the target groups it addresses. ETS methodology will be used in particular during each local activity, where will be sports tournament that will include both young people from ethnic minorities and local young athletes who are able to help overcome communication barriers and increase mutual understanding.
