From September 11–19, 2023, the “Pathway to Green Jobs” project, which was run by YStreet in Latvia, was a big step forward in our goal. This Erasmus+ project gave us new ways to think about how to include ecology in youth work. The project talked about a lot of different things, from the details of the green economy to the huge potential of green work. It’s not just about making jobs, it’s also about making sure the future is stable. Our youth workers now have the skills and knowledge they need to do their jobs better, which has a real effect on the quality of service our group provides. We gained confidence and inspiration, which pushed us to look into more cross-sectoral collaboration, which will help us play a bigger part in making the future greener for young people.
