Developing Routes of Europe’s future through non-formal learning with Active youth Members

D.R.E.A.M. LAND

As it is emphasized European Union Youth Strategy, young people have a need to make voices heard louder; and, youth’s problem of representation, problem of understanding of political literacy and their access to decision making mechanisms should be facilitated.

The mentioned problems of youth should be solved so that the future decisions of the European Union can be understood, implemented, and sustained by the European youth.

The D.R.E.A.M.LAND project aims for helping youth to find these solutions. In fact, D.R.E.A.M.LAND is an EYT project aimed at making young people willing to participate actively in civil society and political life at local, national, and European scales.

As resulting from the needs analysis conducted by the Consortium, Europe needs more conscious and active youth promotion, due to the fact that 60% European youth cannot understand the local, country, and European decisions.

Therefore, D.R.E.A.M.LAND can foster to change this percentage by increasing awareness of active citizenship, political literacy, and democratic participation. Also, the participation of youth in political life and civil society is vital to achieve the 2050 Carbon Neutral Europe target.
