MVNGO EYF 2018 “Let’s Be a Noisy Majority Against Political Extremism!”
“Let’s Be a Noisy Majority Against Political Extremism!” (LBNMAPE) was a Skills Development Activity that gathered a total 20 youth operators aged 18-30 from across North Sardinia between December 03-08 2018 (6 full days of activity).
The SDA empowered involved youth operators to employ Non Formal Education (NFE) techniques as a tool to counter extremist political thought and speech (hereinafter political extremism) among young people as well as promote their active engagement in countering the latter within their communities.
The project aimed at contrasting political extremism among the youth in North Sardinia by means of empowering local youth operators with understanding, skills and methods of Non Formal Education to be actively and effectively engaged in contrasting the phenomenon by means of education of the youth as well as by means of producing educational resources which might empower external operators and organizations to this purpose.
Project main objectives were:
1- Raising participating youth operators’ awareness about the challenge posed by political extremism as well as motivation to contrast it among the youth.
2- Carrying out an educational process grounded on Non Formal Education methods empowering participating youth operators with knowledge and skills to contrast political extremism among the youth.
3- Producing contents and methodologies supporting external youth organizations and stakeholders in contrasting political extremism among the youth through Non Formal Education methods.
