FUTURENITY is a European project that addresses critical challenges facing democracy in Europe, including declining civic participation, misinformation, rising inequalities, and growing divisions between citizens and institutions. The project innovatively fosters civic engagement, social inclusion, and emotional involvement through participatory labs, digital storytelling, and intercultural dialogue. It engages eight European countries with diverse social realities, aiming to strengthen civic resilience, trust, and solidarity while offering accessible and inclusive models for democratic participation in the digital era.

Project Objectives

  • Strengthen participatory and inclusive digital citizenship in Europe 
  • Educate citizens on the impact of EU digital policies on daily life 
  • Create structured citizen debate and policy negotiation spaces 
  • Consolidate citizen experiences into policy recommendations for the EU 

APPROACH / METHODOLOGY

The project adopts a participatory, inclusive approach combining thematic workshops, debates, digital campaigns, and online consultations to engage citizens creatively. It values digital storytelling and ensures inclusion of marginalized groups with emphasis on gender equality.
