“We Shan’t TolerHate” (WSTH) focuses on promoting youth volunteering as an instrument to contrast discrimination against migrants and refugees among the youth categories and within the hosting societies at large. The surge in intolerance, stereotyping and discrimination against migrants and refugees represents one of the most glaring realities influencing political and civil society debate, particularly in the European polities most sensibly hit by the massive migrants and refugee flows from Africa and the Middle Eastern region. 

The final outputs of the project comprise: 

-Manual that will contain the details of the activities implemented and of the related methodologies, serving as a reference for youth operators and organizations willing to implement similar programmes or in need of a benchmark for the design of their own initiatives. 

-Blog that will serve participants and interested external users to keep a direct communication as well as a constantly updated repository of information regarding participants’ own follow-up on their learning 

-Web Platform will be created as a setting of information and e-learning storing information, pictures, videos about the project and will integrate digitalized versions of project outputs 

“We Shan’t TolerHate” (WSTH) focuses on promoting youth volunteering as an instrument to contrast discrimination against migrants and refugees among the youth categories and within the hosting societies at large

The necessity of setting the conditions for youth awareness about racism and discrimination as well as of the active contrast thereof in the field of youth is stressed by the European Youth Strategy, which sets the objective of supporting the development of cultural awareness and the contrast of prejudice among the youth.  

 METHODOLOGY: NFE Methods, simulations, video tutorials, interviews. 

Objectives:

WSTH is promoting rejection of stereotypes, racism and xenophobia among the youth as well as fostering their active involvement in promoting tolerance, inclusion and the positive values of European citizenship through finding, collecting, combining and improving existing good practices in the field of youth work as well as successful and tested methods forming part of the background of each partner organization processing the latter into reference resources for operators (Reports) and programmes of educational development. The target group of the project is going to be young people aged 18-25 of local and migrant origins from each partner country (10 youngster per partner country).  

Main activities: 

– Research and identification of European good practices in contrasting radicalization and prejudice among young people through Storytelling, Sport and Art. 

– 3 transnational Meetings. 

– Implementation of 3 Blended Youth Mobilities (1 per partner country) wherein partners will develop the knowledge, skills and competences of selected youngsters in employing unconventional instruments of Non Formal Education (Storytelling, Sport and Art) as tools for contrasting phenomena of racism and xenophobia among their fellow young people, as well as spreading positive values of inclusion and tolerance. 

– Implementing a set of local activities delivered by participating youngsters in each partner country towards an audience of their own peers (locals and migrants). The focus of the activities will be to convey the educational message of the project to youngsters in local realities.

“ASI” – “Art of Sustainable Innovation” project is primarily focusing its aim at deploying Social Innovation and Circular Economy as a mean for inclusion, active citizenship and solidarity, employability and entrepreneurship among youth with fewer opportunities in disadvantaged rural communities in Europe and Asia. 

ASI focuses on promoting and reinforcing the connection between Youth NGOs, youth operators and local stakeholders in the field of Social Innovation & Circular Economy around developing tools and skills that are aimed to guide youth at using the local resources, sustainability, an finally develop social enterprises that are answering needs in their communities.

The final outputs of the project comprise: 

– Format TC “Art in Innovation” creating innovative methodologies for raising awareness of various approaches towards starting social enterprises which are sustainable and non-polluting, and transferring those to youth workers and target groups 

– “YOUnnovate” web platform is going to share all the resources created during this project: methods, video tutorials, circular economy approaches/resources/network, video testimonials and personal experience, e-book/booklet of tools, documents, best practices, tools and resources for entrepreneurs, skills and approaches to find employment, 

– “YOUnnovate methodologies” e-book comprising NFE tools, resources for social innovation & circular economy, explanation of the concepts, global trends, possibilities and opportunities, proven methods of success.

• METHODOLOGY

• OBJECTIVES OF PROJECT 

The project is designed to focus on employability and environmental issues approaching those from the perspective of entrepreneurship, with the core target groups of; 

– young people with fewer opportunities from rural areas aged (14-30 yrs) who have technological resources (at least smart phones) and  

– youth workers who are using non formal education in their work with youngsters. The project is also aimed to enhance the organisational capacity and skills of the participating organisations and even reaching further to their local networks promoting the outcomes of a valuable transcontinental partnership.

–  Seminar for youth “YOU-nnovate it!” (2 participants per partner country and up to 100 local invitees, as well as a webinar) in Korea. 

– Job Shadowing in Thailand and Romania.
