thus enabling them to train secondary school children on addressing Human Rights and Non Formal Education (NFE) Methods<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The hosting NGO, Mine Vaganti NGO (MVNGO) promotes <strong>NFE as a tool to support formal education in the way of promoting the respect of the gender human rights<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The TC was designed to explore <strong>different tools and working methods in Schools, Companies, NGOs or Educational Centres<\/strong> specialized in working in this field; the project shared and promoted strategies to work as a system, to improve their capabilities and develop new skills.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Objectives:<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u2013 To <strong>discuss participants\u2019 current experience on NFE and highlight the importance of gender rights education in school<\/strong>;<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u2013 To introduce \u201c<strong>Gender Matters\u201d and \u201cCompass\u201d<\/strong> and develop participants\u2019 competences in adapting activities from these manuals;<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u2013 To examine the issue of <strong>gender-based violence<\/strong> within human rights education;<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u2013 Alert <strong>young educators<\/strong> to integrate gender education in their curriculum and help to select materials for the initial stage.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Main program elements:<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The program covered: familiarization with COE manual \u201cGender Matters\u201d and Compass; seminars, role plays and workshops on \u201cThe EU convention on Human Rights (HR)\u201d; Cedaw introduction; Gender and social rights, domestic violence, Gender and Stereotypes; Exclusion based on gender; Gender and media; HR solidarity.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The importance of gender education and its influence on children attitude formation was discussed properly.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Trainers provided theoretical and practical excersices on how to provide NFE lessons for youth on gender based and human rights issues.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Plenary discussions had been opened on each topic, audio diaries reflecting gender based violence stories and video material screening had been performed.
