“Green for the Win\u201d aimed to educate and engage young people aged 18-29 from five countries on climate change, sustainability, and the European Green Deal through Non-Formal Education (NFE). Participants developed skills in NFE methodologies and created a “Green for the Win Toolguide” toolkit. Activities included a Training Course, focusing on climate change awareness, social campaigns, and workshops in participants’ communities. PROJECT\u2019S OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The plan of the European Comission with this innitiative is to propose a European Climate Law to deal with energy, buildings, industry and mobility environmental issues. For instance, solar radiation reduction of up to 37% can be achieved for a wall with a single layer of leaves and 86% for five layers; energy consumption can be reduced by up to 20%; and wall surface temperatures can be reduced in a temperate zone by up to 12\u00b0C and ambient temperatures (up to 2m away) by as much as 4\u00b0C. This project aimed to raise awareness among young citizens about climate change using Non-Formal Education tools. The goals of the project were to promote the European Green Deal, foster active citizenship among young people, increase awareness of environmental changes and potential scenarios, educate on the quality of the environment and its impact on quality of life, develop skills in identifying and addressing environmental issues, and introduce sustainable approaches to combating climate change.<\/p>\n

Project ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project “Green for the Win” involved a Training Course (TC) held in Sassari from 22nd to 28th September 2021, spanning 7 days of activities plus 1 or 2 travel days. It targeted young people aged 18-29 interested in climate change and sustainability, particularly those with a background in environmental volunteering or professions. Participants, totaling 25 from 5 countries (5 participants per country, including 2 with fewer opportunities), engaged in activities aimed at educating about climate change, promoting sustainability, and using Non-Formal Education (NFE) methodologies. The main outcomes included creating a “Green for the Win Toolguide” toolkit of NFE tools and implementing workshops and social campaigns in participants’ home towns based on their learning.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
