The European Agenda for Adult Learning encompasses the foregoing layers of evolution in its focus on \u201cdeveloping digital literacy and providing opportunities for adults to develop the basic skills and forms of literacy needed for participating actively in modern society\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEduStorytelling\u201d (EST) aims at addressing the digital skills and literacy gap affecting European adults coming from disadvantaged backgrounds through the methodology of Digital Storytelling (DST) as a pathway to develop high-quality digital and literacy skills and competencies. It will improve attitudes of peer-interaction and cooperative learning, forming part of a comprehensive digital literacy in order to foster personal development, active citizenship and employability perspectives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PROJECT\u2019S OBJECTIVES<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To explore the educational potential of DST as an innovative instrument for enhancing digital competences of EU citizens, in continuity with the rationale of the EU Digital Competences Framework for Citizens.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To develop a cross-border and cross sector synergy with the purpose of creating innovative models of Storytelling education tailored to the needs of Adult learners.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To establish a wider community of Storytelling practitioners using MOOC course and interacting with their peers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project ACTIVITIES<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I.O.1 Curriculum on Digital Storytelling in Adult Education  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Curriculum on Digital Storytelling in Adult Education will be designed as a tool to enhance digital skills of adult education trainers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The curriculum will contain tools, methods, practical references and best practices for trainers. The curriculum is focused on improving skills through the methodology of digital storytelling  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I.O.2 “DigiStories” Guide  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Guide will contain guidelines, advice and methodologies for using Digital Storytelling as an instrument for educators involved in adult learning contexts.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More specifically, the DigiStories guide can be considered as a complementary tool to the curriculum.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I.O.3 EduStorytelling MOOC Modules and Community  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MOOC stands for \u201cMassive Open Online Course\u201d. The EduStorytelling MOOC stems from the IO1 contents. It will be conceived as a bundle of 5 modules about the following topics: Teaching writing techniques to low-skilled and low-qualified adults  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Composition of a storyboard: introduction to storyboard teaching techniques  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basics of video-editing and composition of a slideshow  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guide to the responsible use of social media to create digital multimedia narratives <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to plan a comprehensive digital story Every module will be made up of at least 2 video-lessons lasting at least 15 minutes totally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
