MVNGO was a partner organization in the Erasmus Plus Capacity Building Youth project \u201cArt for Social Change\u201d (which has also a follow up with a second edition) coordinated by the Bulgarian organization Open Space, with the participation of 3 partner organizations: Soul-Xpressions (Uganda), Chamwino Arts Center (Tanzania) e Mine Vaganti NGO (Italy).<\/p>\n

Aim of the project is to assist organizations in Europe and Africa in developing their capacity to work with young people<\/strong> in solving the wide range of problems they encounter in their lives.<\/p>\n

The first edition<\/strong> of the project was from 2014 to 2016, where activities were carried out in Bulgaria and Tanzania. The second edition<\/strong> of the project takes place between 2017 to 2018, with events in Tanzania, Bulgaria, Italy and Kampala (Uganda)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Objectives:
\u2013 Creation of tools for the development of leadership skills and key competencies<\/strong> in young people (learning skills, initiative, social and civic competences, digital skills);
\u2013 Providing practical work by organizing information campaigns and activities<\/strong>, youth initiatives with international participation<\/strong> and local actions<\/strong>;
\u2013 Analysis and recognition<\/strong> of non-formal and independent learning for both young people and youth workers<\/strong> through the promotion of lifelong learning<\/strong> and the dissemination of good practices<\/strong>;
\u2013 Promotion of a web-based system<\/strong> for sharing information and educational resources which can be used by the partners in the project and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n

Attracted and trained, youth leaders will expand the influence of organizations and succeed in generating change<\/strong>, in helping young people more adequately in the wide range of problems they encounter in their lives.<\/p>\n

The project engages young people growing up in poverty and serious risk of leaving school early<\/strong>. Stimulating the development of their imagination, creativity, inner strength and self-confidence<\/strong>, we show how disadvantaged young people can get out of poverty, become active participants in society and lead happy, healthy and productive lives.<\/p>\n

The project has a positive effect on social development and entrepreneurship<\/strong> in deprived areas in Europe and Africa, and among groups suffering from scarce access to resources and information, and seeks to provide them with smart, sustainable and inclusive growth to develop the competencies of young people and new skills to fight poverty and cultural isolation.<\/p>\n
