APPROACH / METHODOLOGY
Non-Formal Education
Target Group: Young people, Students, Stakeholders, Environmentalists, Policymakers
Date: 08/05/2025 – 09/05/2025
Where: Sardinia, Italy
What will be done: RADIOPEACE project aims to use music and movement to promote democratic values and foster intercultural dialogue among young people in countries with a history of conflict and tensions. Using non-formal education methods, the project will create a participatory and inclusive learning environment involving NFE trainers, youth workers, project ambassadors, and students from partner countries. The goal is to embed the positive value of ethnic music and dance into the learning process, highlighting the common cultural texture that ties the Western Balkan regions and Europe. By doing so, the project will promote reconciliation, peacebuilding, tolerance, and non-violent actions and speeches among young people.
The training will draw from best practices identified across Europe and the Western Balkans, providing participants with real-world examples of how music and dance have been successfully used to bridge divides, empower marginalized communities, and build peaceful societies. The course also supports the development of new project ideas and cross-cultural partnerships, contributing to a broader movement of arts-based peace education.
